Work advice: Eve's story

Eve in uniform working at a care home

Eve Swinscoe, St David’s Care Home

Eve left school without any qualifications and managed to find seasonal work, but nothing permanent. Eve dreamed of working in care, but she needed experience and didn’t know how to get it. She accessed careers advice on CV writing, interview preparation and how to get the basic skills she needed to find a job in care. She was supported to secure a placement with St David’s Care Home where she now works permanently as a carer.
