This accessibility statement applies to workingwales.gov.wales.

The Working Wales website is managed by Careers Wales. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:

  • Navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
  • Zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
  • Listen to most of the website using a screen reader
  • Navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
  • Change colours, contrast levels and fonts

To ensure this is possible we are engaging with external accessibility companies to ensure that the above minimum requirements are met.

We have also made the website text as easy as possible to understand.

How accessible the website is

As of 25 June 2026, work on the website was completed, making it fully accessible. This is based on the corrections made following the full site assessment carried out by Thornacre in February 2025.

Careers Wales uses a third-party application called Livechat for online webchat services. Live chat is compliant with the WCAG 2.2 AA standard. Visit Livechat for more information.

Visiting us in person

Careers Centres have audio induction loops, or if you contact us before your visit, we can arrange a British Sign Language (BSL) interpreter. Our staff also work from a variety of outreach venues. The facilities of these venues will vary and may not include audio induction loops.

Live video streams are exempt from meeting the accessibility regulations. We will review what is possible for each live stream based on the technology/software used.

What we are doing to improve accessibility

We have resolved all of the identified issues and are awaiting a site re-assessment. Careers Wales will continue to actively maintain and improve accessibility on the website.
