00:00:00.110 --> 00:00:03.860
What is the best thing about Jobs Growth Wales+?

00:00:03.860 --> 00:00:07.590
Coming here on this programme, allowing you
to get the hands-on experience will prepare

00:00:07.590 --> 00:00:08.830
you a lot more for a job.

00:00:08.830 --> 00:00:13.280
Obviously here, we all get treated like we’re
human, basically, we all get treated like

00:00:13.280 --> 00:00:17.240
we should be treated – maturely and with
respect.

00:00:17.240 --> 00:00:21.300
How has Jobs Growth Wales+ helped you improve?

00:00:21.300 --> 00:00:23.670
I came with really bad anxiety.

00:00:23.670 --> 00:00:28.449
I had no confidence and now I just do loads
of things, and it’s really helped my confidence

00:00:28.449 --> 00:00:29.449
a lot.

00:00:29.449 --> 00:00:33.240
Before, I could do basic woodwork and tiling
but now I’ve been able to do more decorative

00:00:33.240 --> 00:00:34.330
and in-depth stuff with it.

00:00:34.330 --> 00:00:39.000
I’ve learned other trades as well, so like
plastering and stuff that I wouldn’t have

00:00:39.000 --> 00:00:40.490
learnt if didn’t come on this programme.

00:00:40.490 --> 00:00:44.040
Has Jobs Growth Wales+ helped you decide what
job you’d like?

00:00:44.040 --> 00:00:49.340
Personally, I plan on working in a museum,
I’ve already got a placement in one where

00:00:49.340 --> 00:00:51.379
I live right now.

00:00:51.379 --> 00:00:54.670
So hopefully I can work my way up to getting
a job in there.

00:00:54.670 --> 00:01:01.539
Well, my plan is to work with ages from 11-
to 25-year-olds and helping them understand

00:01:01.539 --> 00:01:04.670
if they need any help in other areas or aspects
in life.

00:01:04.670 --> 00:01:10.119
I think I’d want to go into a joinery workshop,
or anything to do with carpentry.

00:01:10.119 --> 00:01:13.830
But if I can’t I’d probably go tiling
because I’m specialising in that as well,

00:01:13.830 --> 00:01:15.560
so anything to do with carpentry or tiling.

00:01:15.560 --> 00:01:20.190
My plan is hopefully to become a tutor in
animal care.

00:01:20.190 --> 00:01:23.549
What impact has Jobs Growth Wales+ had on
your life?

00:01:23.549 --> 00:01:29.079
It just gives you opportunities to be able
to get qualifications that you missed out

00:01:29.079 --> 00:01:33.340
on having or be able to gain friends if you
never had any.

00:01:33.340 --> 00:01:38.060
This programme has definitely turned my life
around since I started, because at the beginning

00:01:38.060 --> 00:01:41.350
I was a bit of a loner.

00:01:41.350 --> 00:01:48.689
But through the programme I became a much
more outwardly open person and I talk to pretty

00:01:48.689 --> 00:01:50.369
much anyone now.

00:01:50.369 --> 00:01:55.960
Fast forward to the good bits with Jobs Growth
